About this Blog:
The blog Our People, Our Planet is a work of fiction allegedly written in the year 2030 by Dr. Anne Farmer, the main character in the novel By 2030: A Survival Story by author Julia E. Hammett. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. In full disclosure, there are a few cases in the blog and the novel where Hammett has borrowed names of people she knows as a means of a shout-out to them, but the characters in the novel are not the same people; only their names have been borrowed. For example, there are a few references to a notorious politician, but they are couched in the recollected perceptions of a fictional character in a book of near future fiction. Therefore, any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. When you are ready to begin reading click on “Home” above.
If you are interested in learning about, or engaging in conversation about what we’re dealing with in real time, vs. the fictional history of looking back at us from the near future, then you might want to visit the separate blog by Dr. Hammett aka nevadarose.
